Frank DeRaffele & BNI’s Tim Robberts

On Tuesday June 5th a very special guest came to Castleton Event Center in Windham, NH. Frank DeRafflele, Co-Author of Business Networking & Sex (not what you think!), gave an informative and fun filled speech on the role gender plays in networking.

The audience was full of people eager to learn how to make the most of the networking opportunities routinely provided by BNI, HYPE, and the Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce.  DeRaffele addressed the differences in the way men and women network, and how understanding these differences can translate into more effective networking and gained business.  Presented in a wildly humorous fashion, the presentation drove home the point that men tednd to network to make a “transaction”, whereas women tend to spend the time and care on building “relationships”.

Did you know that women on average spend less time networking than men, yet generate more business? Turns out that men & women (mostly men) have much to learn in bettering their business networking skills with the opposite sex.  Frank DeRaffele’s book is definitely worth the read!
